Process Development & Design
Test programs are carried out on a practical basis using current
state-of-the-art technology for assessing alternative processes.
Results are evaluated on a technical and economic basis to arrive at the
most efficient process flowsheet for producing products of marketable
quality and for ensuring acceptable effluents meeting environmental
guidelines. Progress status reports are issued on a regular basis.
Process design criteria are prepared for process and waste treatment
circuits based on the optimum conditions determined during test programs.
Commercial laboratory, pilot plant and analytical facilities are utilized
for carrying out test work.
|
|
Feasibility Studies
Computer-based capital and operating cost estimates are
undertaken for the mill and surface facilities of proposed projects to provide
the necessary details for financial analysis. These studies are in
format suitable for incorporating with other sections such as mining and
geotechnical engineering to arrive at overall costs of proposed projects.
An up-to-date cost database is maintained to provide the necessary
information for completion of feasibility studies.

|
Engineering
Engineering services are provided on a low cost efficient
basis by a small, dedicated team of experienced personnel for the engineering
design of process and waste treatment plants. Equipment procurement
and construction management services are also provided. Metallurgical, chemical, mechanical and
structural engineers, backed up by well-experienced drafting personnel, are
responsible for the appropriate engineering design of each discipline.
During the engineering phase all pertinent drawings are reviewed from a
process as well as a practical point of view in order to ensure a safe,
efficient, and cost-effective operation.
|
|
Operations Assistance & Plant Start-Up
Pre-operation testing services, plant start-up, and
operations assistance are provided during the commissioning phase. A
systematic and organized approach is taken with start-up facilities to
ensure that production targets are achieved more quickly. Preparation of
detailed operating and training manuals and Standard Operating
Procedures/Work Instructions are provided to assist mine owners in
developing experienced personnel. Operational assistance, hands-on operator
training, and in-plant metallurgical consulting and troubleshooting are
provided to operating companies for increasing plant efficiencies,
maintaining product and effluent quality, improving plant safety, and
decreasing operations costs. Reports are issued as required. Turnkey
projects and contract mill operations are undertaken when clients prefer to
contract out milling operations to experienced milling personnel.
|
|
Environmental
Environmental work for projects includes design and engineering,
waste water treatment, tailings dewatering, assessment
of tailings disposal and waste management alternatives, operation of
waste management facilities, and decommissioning and close-out of mine
sites.
|
|
Due Diligence & Plant Audits
Due diligence reports and plant audits are carried out for
clients to provide detailed economic and technical assessment of existing
process and waste treatment facilities.
